Hope

April 29, 2008

We are products of God’s blessings.  He knew that we needed to be kept to the anchored of a reality of tomorrow and he gave us hope as an ”Anchor of the Soul.” Hebrews 6:19   Hope behind is devastation, ahead is anticipaction.  In sickness hope is a beacon to recovery, a remedy to anxiety, stock market uncertainty, political fears, and false imprisonment.

Peter also tells us about the hope of being ressurrected . 2 Peter 1: 13-14

It is  optimism in the time of pessimism Jer. 48:47.  There is hope in death.  Proverbs 14:32

Continued encouragement on the topic of Hope:

The natural flights of the human mind

are not from pleasure to pleasure to pleasure, but from hope to hope.

- Samuel Johnson

In the night… hope sees a star,

and listening love

can hear the rustle of a wing.

-Robert ingersoll

Hope is the thing with feathers

That perches in the soul,

And sings the tune without the words,

And never stops at all.

-Emily Dickinson

The function of the wing is to take

what is heavy and raise it up.

-Plato

Your Integrity is a Badge of Honor

April 19, 2008

No pleasure  is comprable to standing upon the vantage ground of truth,( Bacon Essay 1).

In a false quarrel there is no true valor, ( Shakespare- much to do about nothing g V1).

Truth is within ourselves; it takes nothing from outward things, ( R. Browning )

Using a lie prolongs a matter, seperates friends, destorys marriages set the stage for hypocrisy is a deterrent to salvation.

Truth  is impossible to be soiled by any outward touchas  the sunbeam, ( Milton, Doctrine and Displine of Divorce  ).

But for the cowardly and unbeliving and abominable  and mruders and immoral persons and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars will have their part in the lake that burns with  fire and brimstone which is the second death.  ( Rev. 21:8 )

A Thought to Teachers. There is Worth in the Profession

April 19, 2008

To believe in a child is to believe in the future.  Through their aspirations they will save the world.  With their combined knowledge the turbulent seas of hate and injustice  will be calmed.  They  will champion the casuses of life’s underdopgs forging a society without class discrimnation.  They will supply humanity with music and beauty as it has never been known.  They will endure.  To these ends I pledge my life’s work.  I will supply  the children with tools of knowledge to overcome obstacles.  I will pass on the wisdom of my years and temper it with patience.  I shall impact  in each child the desire to fulfill his or her dream.  I SHALL TEACH.

To all teachers God will give guidance to teach those things that for the good  and healthy developement of those children entrusted in your care.  Look beyond the  ignorance of those who impede your efforts through political chess and salary restrains.

About Dreams

April 19, 2008

We grow great by dreams.  All big men are dreamers.  They see things in the soft haze of spring clay  or  in a red fire of a long winter’s evening.  Some of us let these  great dreams die, but others nourish and protect them; nurse them through bad days until the sunshine and light which comes always to those who sincerely hope that their dreams will come true.
