The things that amazes me as a retired Public School Teacher:
1. That millions are spent each year on School Board Administerative travel, lunches, luncheons, car allowances, in a few cases clothing allowances.
2. It is amazing that the very reason or a need for a School Board is seek out the best for children and to give some sensible thought to the avenue of successful education is to provide for the Teachers who daily put their lives on the line in the name of the Professional Educators.
What is professional about:
Million Dollar pay out each year to Test Makers/FCAT, Reading Programs that fatten the the publishers.
When the programs do not work a newer version is purchased for the next year.
Teacher soak themselves financially in effort to stay afloat and to dress as well the students.
How do we expect the students to strive to graduate when they know that their teachers can’t compete with them in every daily living.
Money is a legal tender for all debts private and public this covers all real or intended efforts of upward mobility in education.
If you can rake in excuses and sit comforable in your high chair while children struggle to be fed academically and teachers strive to meet the needs of our children join the band of those who march to the drum of the assassination of education.
